Beschreibung der Position
What we do
Our Cultural Exchange program provides families with affordable childcare whilst giving young people a chance to experience ‘life in Australia’ and practise their English skills. An au pair helps with childcare and light housework in exchange for full board and pocket money. Placements are in English speaking families in UK and Australia and we also place Australian candidates in Europe.
We now have 5 years experience and our innovative approach continues to help us improve and grow. We are members of IAPA, the International Au Pair Association. Our suppliers are based all over the world and we work closely with them to select and prepare au pairs for the program.
We have an office in the UK, currently staffed with 2 Managers (+ intern for summer) and an office in Australia with MD + 2 interns.
An Internship with Smartaupairs will provide you with valuable on-the-job training and exposure to the management and operations of an International Cultural Exchange agency. Not only will you build your skills and assist the team with interesting projects, an internship with Smartaupairs will also highlight your initiative and commitment to future employers.
Benefits of undertaking an internship at Smartaupairs
- We cultivate a friendly, professional culture where interns can apply their talents and skills with the knowledge that they are making a real difference.
- We treat our interns like regular staff members – this ensures that interns will be included in training and discussions, hence giving them full exposure to seeing how Smartaupairs functions as an organisation and interacts with suppliers, clients (families) and applicants (au pairs)
- We provide a variety of tasks, including the potential for interns to see MD’s tasks such as strategic planning and finance
- This internship shows prospective employers that you are interested in developing yourself in a constructive manner through work experience
- Conduct handover training to the next intern. This will enable the intern to demonstrate what they have learned and understood, as well as how they applied their studies during the internship program.
